Description:	This lecture will deal with the blue economic importance: Growth and Development of Maritime Transport and Ports The Maritime Professions Employability in the Maritime Sector Maritime Ambassadors Program of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Nautical Student Boarding Program Capt. Padrón is a native of Marín (Pontevedra, SPAIN). He has been a Maritime Captain in Tenerife for 14 years and is currently Technical Advisor for Safety and Environment of the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine. His achievements include numerous publications and articles as well as having participated as a Speaker in important forums (congresses and seminars) both nationally and internationally, as well as having participated as an Expert in a good number of research and cooperation projects with stays in Albania. Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cape Verde, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Slovenia, United States of America, France, Honduras, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Panama, Poland, United Kingdom, Senegal and Turkey.In 2015, at the proposal of the Spanish State, he was appointed Goodwill Maritime Ambassador of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and, since then, has coordinated the "Nautical Student Boarding Program" on an international scale.
